Team Novo Nordisk rider training up Coll de Rates (Alicante, Spain).
During the winter months many pro road cyclists/teams come to the Alicante province to profit from the mild climate and excellent training routes in the area to organise their training camps.
The Coll de Rates (597m/5%/6.5km) is THE reference climb in the area and on any given day in december/january you can easily spot about 100 pro-cyclists going up. Many of whom are the biggest names in the sport.
