Jens Voigt (DEU/Trek Factory Racing) escaped from the peloton in one of the first local laps around the Champs-Elysées. With no chance of ever winning this last stage with this move, it is more a way of greeting/saying goodbye to the public in his last (17th!!) ever Tour de France.
The legendary rouleur and much loved icon ends in style.
